Privacy Policy

Applies to the Bible Reader HK 聖經閱讀器 Windows application distributed through the Microsoft Store.

In short: Bible Reader HK does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app runs entirely on your own device and does not send data anywhere.

1. Who this policy covers

This policy is issued by Edward Yuen, the publisher of the Bible Reader HK 聖經閱讀器 application (“the app”). It describes how the app handles information on your device. Questions can be sent to support@edwardproject.me.

2. Information the app collects

None. Bible Reader HK does not collect or transmit any personal information. Specifically, the app:

• has no account, sign-in, or registration of any kind;

• does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment details;

• contains no advertising, analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting components;

• does not use cookies, tracking identifiers, or advertising IDs;

• does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or personal files;

• does not make network requests — all scripture content is bundled with the app and read offline.

3. Information stored on your device

So the app can remember where you were and how you like to read, it saves settings such as your reading position, bookmarks, and display preferences in the app’s own local storage on your PC. This information:

• never leaves your device;

• is not accessible to the developer or to any third party;

• is removed when you uninstall the app.

4. Third parties

The app does not share information with third parties, because it does not collect any.

Note that the Microsoft Store — the platform you installed the app from — handles its own data, such as your purchase or install record, independently of this app. That processing is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement, not by this policy.

5. Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

6. Data security

Because no data is transmitted or stored on any server, there is no remote copy of your information to be exposed. Data stored locally is protected by the standard app-isolation and account protections that Windows provides.

7. Your rights

Privacy laws — including the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Hong Kong’s Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance — give you rights to access, correct, and erase personal data held about you. Bible Reader HK holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, or export. The settings stored locally remain entirely under your control and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app.

8. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes how it handles data, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the “last updated” date above will change.

• 絕不會離開您的裝置；

• 開發者及任何第三方均無法存取；

• 會在您解除安裝本程式時一併移除。

4. 第三方

本程式不會與第三方分享任何資料，因為本程式並不收集任何資料。

請注意，您安裝本程式所使用的 Microsoft Store 平台會獨立處理其自身的資料（例如您的購買或安裝紀錄），該等處理受 Microsoft 私隱聲明規管，並不屬於本政策範圍。

5. 兒童

本程式適合所有年齡人士使用，並不會收集任何人（包括兒童）的資料。

6. 資料保安

由於本程式不會傳送任何資料，亦不會在任何伺服器上儲存資料，因此並不存在可被洩露的遠端副本。本機儲存的資料受 Windows 提供的應用程式隔離及帳戶保護機制保障。

7. 您的權利

包括歐盟《一般資料保護規例》(GDPR) 及香港《個人資料（私隱）條例》在內的私隱法例，賦予您查閱、更正及刪除有關您個人資料的權利。本程式並不持有您的任何個人資料，故並無資料可供查閱、更正或轉移。儲存在本機的設定完全由您控制，您可隨時透過解除安裝本程式將其清除。

8. 政策修訂

若日後版本的本程式在資料處理方式上有所改變，我們會在該版本推出前更新本頁，並同時更新上方的「最後更新」日期。
